Free WSOP Seats - Win Your Poker Seat!

May 2, 2008

It’s that time of year again to start claiming your seat in the largest poker event in the World, the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Many poker rooms are hosting events where the winners get their seat in this event for free. Last year, PokerStars was sent a ridiculous number of players to the WSOP and more than any other site. They look to be going for the same thing this year and are already hosting several events. PokerStars claims to be sending over 850 players this year.

They offer several ways to win your main event seat. You will be able to compete in satellite WSOP events for as little as $7.50 or 500 FPPs. Satellites are a great way for players to win their seat, especially if they are on a tight bankroll. Even though PokerStars send the most players to this event, there are still plenty of other sites that offer WSOP seats.

Full Tilt Poker is another one of those sites. There is currently a special going on that if you sign up at Full Tilt Poker through our partner site, then you will be eligible for a WSOP freeroll. This means that you have a chance to play in the WSOP for free! If this is something you would like to take part in, then head over to our Full Tilt Poker Download to sign up and get started. All you need to do is sign up through that site and you will be on your way. You will be required to make a deposit of $25 or more and earn a minimum of 300 Full Tilt Points in a required time period, none of which should take very long.

Pacific Poker Launches New Bonus

April 18, 2008

For quite a while Pacific Poker has offered one of the smallest first time deposit bonuses out there, a 25% up to $100. Even though this was one of the smaller bonuses offered, they did allow you to play with you bonus money at the tables to “release” it, making it a top bonus offer. Most rooms won’t let you touch your deposit bonus money until you release it.

Pacific Poker finally updated their bonus offer to compete with many of the other top Internet Poker rooms. Pacific Poker is now offering a 100% up to $400 bonus to all new players. Players will still earn an instant deposit bonus that can be used at the tables right away, which will still be a 25% up to $100 offer. The additional bonus will be an extra 75% bonus up to $300, which will be put into a pending bonus account and will need to be released.

The additional $300 bonus offer will take a bit of playing to release. Players are required to earn 14 Comp Points for every $1 they have the $300 bonus offer (not including the 25% up to $100 offer). The bonus will be released in one lump sum, so quite a few points will need to be earned before receiving this bonus. Players will have a total of 30 days to earn this bonus before it expires.

If you are interested in taking advantage of Pacific Poker’s new deposit bonus, take a look at this Pacific Poker Review to get all the details.

Titan Poker Completes Omaholics Promotion

April 7, 2008

Titan Poker has wrapped up their first running of the Omaholics promotion, which was a huge event targeted to Omaha poker players. More specifically, this promotion was only for Pot Limit Omaha players, and rewarded $100,000 total to players. During the promotion, Omaha traffic at Titan Poker increased a huge amount, and you could find Omaha games running at every stake throughout the day and night. Now we’ll get into the promotions details…

How it worked was that the more you played Pot Limit Omaha, the better chance you had to win a piece of the $100,000 prize pool. There was a leader board that ranked players based on the amount of raked Pot Limit Omaha hands they played, and at the end of each month a portion of the money was paid out. For February there was $40,000 paid out, and at the end of March the remaining $60,000 was paid out to the top players.

Also, to reward the sharks, they divvied the prize pool up based on what stakes you were playing. The higher stakes you played, the more money you could have won. For example, the top player of $0.10/$0.20 - $0.25/$0.50 was rewarded with $900 at the end of March, but the best player at the $10/$20 or higher level was rewarded with $3600 at the end of March.

The top prize winner, sendmemore, played 16,833 raked hands at the $10/$20 or higher level and received a cool $3600 deposited right into his account at the end of March. What a nice prize, congratulations!

Titan Poker is always running these sorts of promotions, so make sure to check them out and see what they have going on at the moment. Good luck!

March 25, 2008

With the increasingly high demand of Internet Poker, comes the demand for more Internet poker strategy. There are many websites out there selling strategy, mostly in a written eBook form and instructional videos. That doesn’t even mean that it’s very good, and most of the time not worth the price you pay for it.

Coinflippoker.com is an Internet Poker Strategy site that has been around for quite a while now, and offers all of their strategy free of charge. They run things a little differently by offering several different bonus options, making it the players’ choice depending on their level of play. As long as you are a new player to PKR, you will have the option of a bonus anywhere from $50 all the way up to $2000. If you would like to join the 3D poker room, check out this PKR bonus code page to pick your deposit bonus and get started.

In case you are completely new to PKR, PKR is a full 3D Poker Room and by far the best one out there. The best way to describe the room is that it’s like you’re playing a video game on Xbox or PlayStation, but with PKR you have the option to play for real money. If you would like more information, you can read our full PKR Review which should give you a great idea of what to expect.

PKR Casino is another PKR brand and was actually released just a few months ago, probably in part because of the success the poker room showed. PKR Casino keeps all the fun and excitement that is found at the poker room, however they don’t offer as big of bonus. All new players to the casino will earn a 100% up to $200 bonus. The casino is integrated with their poker room, so you will be able to jump back and fourth between the two with ease. If you would like more details, then check out this full PKR Casino Review.

Different Internet Poker Rooms - We Rate Them

March 17, 2008

In this day and age there are tons of poker rooms to play internet poker at, and it seems all of them offer the same thing - sign up bonuses, great support, great traffic, big tournaments, etc. Well, if you’re looking for a room to play at, it gets hard to choose from seemingly cloned poker rooms that all look the same. This article will look at a few of the bigger poker sites, and tell you why each one is unique, and what one is best for you.

We’ll start by checking out PokerStars. They claim to be the biggest online poker site, and they’re telling the truth there. On Sundays, when they run their weekly Sunday Million Tournament ($215 buy-in), you’ll often find over 100,000 players logged onto the site. This is well higher traffic then any of the other rooms. Although PokerStars only offers a $50 sign up bonus, we still have them as our best overall poker room. The reason we say that is because of their outstanding tournament lineup. All week long you can find amazing tournaments with great prize pools, and their structure is superb.

Next, we’ll take a look at Full Tilt. If you are thinking about playing Full Tilt, don’t go there just because of their bonus, because it’s actually kind of hard to clear. The reason you should play Full Tilt is because of their great cash tables. They have enormous ring table traffic, and at the low-mid limits you’ll find plenty of fishy tables for you to win money at. Another thing we liked about Full Tilt is that when a pro is at a table, they highlight the table red, so you can watch pros play and learn from them all the time.

World Poker Tour Finals Starts Today at Foxwoods

November 7, 2007

The World Poker Tour will start filming their seventh major poker tournament at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut today and some of the best professional players are expected to attend. The Foxwoods casino was one of the first to begin supporting the WPT and has even opened up a WPT themed poker room for their players. The room was expanded to hold 115 tables instead of 75.

The WPT started at Foxwoods in 2002 and has continued to be a success. The number of players who enter the tournament continues to rise every year. Last year’s event did take a dip in attendance but still managed to bring in a $1.7 million first place prize.

“Foxwoods Resort Casino was the very first casino to sign on to the World Poker Tour and that helped us secure the other six original charter member casinos, which in turn made the show a huge success and created the phenomenon that televised poker is today,” said Steve Lipscomb, Founder, President & CEO of WPT Enterprises. “They took a chance and since signing on in season one, Foxwoods has continually proven to be an incredible partner in business, promotion, and the all important task of creating the best possible player experience.”

Last year’s event was a tough matchup with Kathy Liebert, Mimi Tran, E.G. Harvin, Micheal Omelchuk, Mike Perry and Nenad Medic vying for the top prize. Medvic managed to come out with the victory and million dollar prize. This year’s event is sure to be exciting and nerve racking. Many players will be in attendance and this year’s event is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
