Florida Tournament Featuring Pros Vs Joes

On November 30th at the Sarasota Kennel Club in Florida, there will be a Pros Vs Joes tournament taking place. Professional poker player Gavin Smith will be in attendance and will be the highlighted pro of the event. Other professional players will be on hand as well including: Chip Jett, Karina Jett, Paul Azinger-pro golfer and ESPN poker analyst Lon McEachern.

The tournament will take place in the One-Eyed Jacks Poker Room at the club and the buy-in is $650. The prize pool is expected to be around $150,000 which would make the first place prize be around $40,000. The tournament has enough space for 250 players and 175 have already registered so there aren’t many spots left. Interested players need to register at the One-Eyed Jacks Poker Room to play in the tournament. Players participating will begin with 7,500 chips to work their way to the top prize. There will be bounties set on the pros: $2000 for Gavin Smith and $650 for all other pros. Blinds will increase every forty minutes during play.

It should be an exciting tournament to watch. The highlighted professional Gavin Smith is hot off the poker trail. In the recent Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge IV Main Event, he made it to the final table and finished in fourth. He is known as a more aggressive player and learned to play cards at a very early age. He is from Canada and resides in Las Vegas Nevada. He started playing poker in 1994 when he was at a golf course and a charity tournament was taking place.
