PokerStars Begins 5th Caribbean Adventure Qualifiers

Players interested in going to the European Poker Tour event the 5th Annual PokerStars Caribbean Adventure can qualify now on PokerStars. The event is set to take place in the Bahamas at the Atlantis Resort and Casino. The casino is located on the island of Paradise and will take place in January 5th through the 10th. It has been estimated that the prize pool will be around 8 million dollars.

Almost 1,000 players showed up for last year’s event and the prize pool was a little over 7 million dollars. This year the playing field is expected to be larger. Team PokerStars players will be at the event. Daniel Negreanu and Joe Hachem as well as other pros are expected to be in attendance. We should also so a fair number of online players as well. The online regulars seem to stepping out from behind the computer to test their skills at major live events.

The night before play begins there will be a party welcoming the players which will be fun for all. On the 5th and 6th of the event there will be two starting flights. On the 10th the final table action will begin when 8 players are seated at the final table for a televised showdown. This event will be shown internationally. After the final table, players are invited to attend a party at the Atlantis Resort.

Ryan Daut was last year’s winner and he went home with a staggering $1.5 million prize. Players who are interested in qualifying for the European Poker Tour tournament can qualify now at PokerStars. Qualifiers range from $7.50 to $2,100 and are Step Sit & Go satellites. You can begin with $7.50 or use Frequent Player Points which can be earned on the PokerStars website. Players who place during qualifying will move up to the next step or will be able to compete again at the step they just played. The prize package available is for $12,000 and will furnish the buy-in for the EPT event, meals and lodging and spending and travel expenses.
